A migrant is a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, natural disaster or economic and social injustice. Moving around is what they share. A tourist is a person travelling or visiting a place for pleasure. A migrant is a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, natural disaster or economic and social injustice. Moving around is what they share. But there are many things they don't. Visiting atractions, staying in nice hotels, spending money, buying things. Maybe main difference is that migrants find out very fast how friendly country and people are, specialy if having no money. 

Impact Tourism Migrant (ImpTou Migrant) is a person keen to see how country and citizens are in real life not treating him as a tourist. You want to feel and understand how migrants feel in Slovenia? Do local people really help in hard situation? What happens if you don't have the money? Where to get food, accommodation, how to move around? Who can help? Not knowing language does not make things easier. 

Before starting you deposit your wallet and worthy things with us. You can keep identification card and mobile phone for communication and photographing, but not for payments. You get water. We wil make your experiment a bit easier – you have limited number of calls to reach menthor we provide to help you. He/she is from volnurable groups, knowing how to "survive". 

Your goal? Try to experience all you wanted as a tourist (sightseeing, visits, local food etc.) in planed time, but acchieve it as a migrant. Price you pay? Average tourist consumption in Slovenia per day (96,00 EUR). If too much you can participate for less – you can pay the amount you spent in your average tourist day. But the payment is not covering entrances, food costs etc. It (beside our costs) goes to person/organisation that helped you most and to the program »Giving Tuesday« financing employment of volnurable persons. 

You can stop/cancel participation in this impact tourism product any time. Best life authentic experience for you. Hope you will see and understand migrants in a new way, strenghten your inventiveness and meet new lifelong friends. Length: 6 hours (48,00 EUR + VAT), 12 hours (72,00 EUR + VAT)

Location: any location in Slovenia

Participation: 1 – 10 persons

Only for participants over 18 years old. Experience is not encouraging illegal actions or violations of law.
