Ljubljana through the prism of a photographer’s lens

Arne Hodalič

Activity

We are offering a very special way of exploring Ljubljana, beginning with a lecture by Arne Hodalič, who is not only a world-class photographer, but also a biologist, photojournalist, underwater photographer and an avid traveller. In addition to some information and good photography tips, Arne will explain the rules of activities. The locations you will see in the pictures are some of the most famous sights in Ljubljana.

The aim of the activities is to find all these places and make the best possible picture. The more creative you are, the better. Of course, the task will be limited in time but you will also be assisted by students of photography from the Higher School of Applied Sciences. On the way back to the starting point, Arne will choose the best photos, comment them a little and at the end he will announce the winner.

Nevertheless, this will be but a prelude to the main objective of wandering around Ljubljana. Guests from associations for the blind and visually impaired will join us for a walk, and at each selected location, you will be the vision for their eyes. Your gift of speech and perception will be their ticket to a more vivid experience of the beautiful Slovenian capital. And although this experience will make us all winners, we shall pick a few of the best experienced descriptions of locations and photographs among the guests from associations for the blind and visually impaired.

Ljubljana experienced in such a way will not be forgotten and will always remain before our eyes. At the same time, our visit will leave a lasting socially beneficial imprint, as a part of the earnings will be given to associations for the blind and visually impaired. Impact tourism thus enables us to co-create a better and more beautiful world in a pleasant way.
